What started as an idea to film a micro-doc of an eight-man football team in rural Missouri, quickly turned into a collaboration between graphic designers, a reporter, photographers, and videographers for an intergenerational story of community and friendship. After hearing the story of the team and the towns, I realized that there were more ways we could tell the many layers of the story. I worked closely with a local to help gain access and connections in the community. I brought together a team of 13 people, from editing to print production, throughout the more than two-month process of telling this story. I worked with fellow photo editor Michelle Gutierrez to make a photo edit for web and print. The print version was reprinted at the subjects' local paper.
